The Sony FE 70-200mm f/4 G OSS is a versatile telephoto zoom lens that excels in events, sports, and portraiture. G Lens Series

Featuring two extra-low dispersion glass elements and one Super ED element, this lens effectively reduces chromatic aberrations and color fringing, resulting in improved clarity and color accuracy.
With one aspherical element and two Advanced Aspherical (AA) elements, it suppresses various monochromatic aberrations such as astigmatism, field curvature, and coma.
The Nano AR coating applied to the lens surface minimizes reflections, flare, and ghosting, enhancing contrast and color reproduction, especially in challenging lighting conditions.

Constant f/4 Maximum Aperture and Versatile Zoom Range

The constant f/4 maximum aperture ensures consistent performance throughout the zoom range, giving you greater control over focus position for achieving shallow depth of field effects.

Image Stabilization, AF, and Handling

The dual linear motors and internal focus mechanism enable fast and responsive autofocus, allowing for accurate object tracking. It can focus as close as 3.3′ for close-up shots.
The focus range limiter switch lets you constrain the usable focus range, either within a set limited range or the full range, for improved focus speed in specific situations.
Three focus hold buttons and an AF/MF switch on the lens barrel provide intuitive tactile control and quick access to select settings, enhancing the overall handling experience.

Optical SteadyShot Image Stabilization and Durability

The Optical SteadyShot image stabilization minimizes camera shake, resulting in sharper images when shooting handheld with slower shutter speeds.
This stabilization system can be combined with select camera models’ sensor-shift type image stabilization, providing more effective control over camera blur.
The lens is dust- and moisture-sealed, allowing you to work confidently in inclement conditions. Rubberized control rings provide better handling even in colder temperatures.
For added stability and to reduce strain on the camera’s lens mount, a removable and rotating tripod collar is included with the lens.
