It incorporates three Special Low Dispersion glass elements and one molded glass aspherical element to minimize chromatic aberrations and sagittal coma flare, resulting in sharp and clear images. The lens’s large diameter and floating system also correct for vignetting, ensuring consistent brightness across the frame. A Super Multi Coating is applied to reduce flare and ghosting, enhancing contrast and color accuracy.

The lens features a Hyper Sonic AF Motor with an optimized AF algorithm, providing fast, smooth, and quiet autofocus performance suitable for various shooting situations. Full-time manual focus control is also available by simply turning the focus ring.
